FAITH
On this first day of Autumn I have renewed faith in the wisdom and common sense of the American people.
While I agree that spoiled children and aging incompetents seem to be running much of American government and business today, my faith tells me that the pendulum is swinging back.
We Americans can only be hoodwinked for a limited time. Fool me once, shame on you – but fool me twice, shame on me!
Immigration is causing deep cultural and financial problems for America today. Biden and his administration have opened the floodgates. It’s now estimated that 3.8 million people have entered the U.S. – some 1.5 million illegally – since he took office. I’ve watched while he has flown immigrants into Westchester airport under cover of darkness after the control tower has been closed. My sense is the Democratic party believes allowing this to happen will ensure those same immigrants will vote for that party someday soon. And although it’s never been worse, this has been going on for decades, so the Democrats are not the only party to blame.
What’s America to do?
Perhaps we can take a lesson from ancient Roman times and once a year have every inhabitant register and pay taxes. Good grief, America – the greatest country on earth today – can track where every cow has come from but cannot keep track of people?
The older I get the more I respect the founders of this great Republic. And every time I hear a politician or rabble rouser complain that we are “destroying democracy” with this or that action, I acknowledge how much ignorance and stupidity they demonstrate with that inaccurate statement.
Deep down inside every American is a basic concept of God and of the need for good to triumph over evil. Those who manipulate the truth need to be stopped and rendered ineffective.
Can things get worse? Perhaps. But I am optimistic!
